UNDERSTANDING & FIT
[ ] Do they clearly understand home services (phone, booking, trades)?
[ ] Can they explain their strategy in plain English, without buzzwords?
[ ] Will they tell you when more ad spend is NOT the answer?

MEASUREMENT
[ ] What exactly do they measure? (leads, bookings, sold work — not just clicks)
[ ] How do they define a "lead"?
[ ] Do they connect marketing to booked jobs / revenue where data allows?
[ ] How do they handle missed calls and slow response?

OWNERSHIP & ACCESS (critical)
[ ] Is the Google Ads account in YOUR name, with your card on the ad spend?
[ ] Do you get admin access to Google Ads, GA4, and your Business Profile?
[ ] Who owns the website, and can you take it with you if you leave?
[ ] Can you access all accounts today, not "later"?

TRANSPARENCY & POLICY
[ ] Are management fees clearly separated from ad spend?
[ ] Do they AVOID guaranteeing Google rankings or a fixed number of jobs?
[ ] Reviews: no buying, no incentives, no gating? (Google prohibits these.)
[ ] Is the Google Business Profile name your real name (no keyword stuffing)?

TERMS
[ ] What is the cancellation structure? Any long lock-in?
[ ] What happens to your accounts, website, and data if you leave?

RED FLAGS (walk away if you see these)
-  "We guarantee page-one rankings."
-  Accounts kept in the agency's name / no access for you.
-  Reporting is only impressions and clicks.
-  Offers to buy or gate reviews.
-  No questions about your average ticket, close rate, or capacity.
